Village houses here tend to be bigger than average, with a lot of floor to cover and older rooms that need a bit of care. Original floors, deep skirtings, awkward corners behind radiators, utility rooms that take the worst of the mud coming in off the lanes. None of that is a problem, it just means the job is done properly rather than rushed.

Being on the doorstep also means we can be flexible. If you want us weekly or fortnightly we can usually find a slot that suits, and if something comes up at short notice, family coming to stay or a house going on the market, we are five minutes away rather than an hour.
